Spring time at Gyeonghoe Palace

Gyeonghoe Plalace is a smaller palace in Seoul, South Korea. I wanted to celebrate the coming of spring this April and decided to make a Korean traditional seating cushion cover using digital embroidery and Korean traditional sewing technique, Bojagi and Jogakbo. (Currently work in progress)

Embroidered motifs came to life after planned out from sketch. I've added beads to the branches and on the flowers.

Hand-dyed each of the fabrics to find which combinations matches the best with one another.
